Power when maternal effect is set to zero:

Power when both effects are set to zero:

Alpha level is the type 1 error rate for the genetic association study.
Maternal effect is the percent variance in the trait explained by maternal effects at the locus.
Fetal effect is the percent variance in the trait explained by fetal effects at the locus.
Residual correlation between maternal and fetal phenotype refers to the residual correlation
between the phenotypes after the effect of the locus has been removed.
